I played BioShock Infinite for much of the day today (better than second, but not as good as first one). It was going ok until I hit the stupid last boss fight (or wave fight).
Lets see how many of the last fight annoyances can I tick off:
- Protect something from swarms of enemies
(I really hate these types, I probably could beat it if the enemies couldn't just shoot the core - major design flaw on a ship, an exposed core right on the deck. It might as well have a flashing neon sign saying "shoot here")
- You can't directly take out all of the enemies
- You have to wait for cool down times.
- Nothing in the game up to then really played out the way the final battle does
This isn't nearly as bad as the terrible Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga bullet hell sequence before the final battle (Flames of Judgment), but it is still really annoying. Annoying enough for me to just walk away from the game.
For the record, this game didn't cause any broken controllers. The left trigger was already broken (makes using vigors difficult - unless you only use one). I think I cracked the outside of my controller a little bit and rumble seems off. I guess you can only slam the controller on the hard ground for 7 years before it has issues.
