Barring any unforeseen circumstances I will be getting my Xbox One on November 22nd (it is paid off). That seems like a long time away (I would like to get a certain achievement in Forza 4 before launch).
Much has been made about the "more" powerful and less expensive PS4. But I never really cared about that (I would have pre-ordered one the day after the E3 announcements if they didn't have any Xbox One pre-orders). Yes, the Xbox One was more expensive than I would have liked (but I offset that nicely with $420 in store credit). I think I only paid something like $85 out of pocket for the console.
What would I like to see on the Xbox One (no red rings of death, please)... it would be enough for me if it were an faster Xbox 360 (load times and OS) and better Kinect (that can read codes, awesome). I don't care about graphics (and I won't be playing it on a 1080P HDTV for a while anyway).
So, what games do I have pre-ordered and paid off (some I said I wouldn't get)?
* Dead Rising 3 (didn't like 2, but this has faster load times and NO time limit)
* Forza 5 (have to beat 4 before I play)
* Ryse
Downloadable titles:
- I'm not sure what will be available at launch, but i'm not really interested in LocoCycle. i'll probably try, but not buy Killer Instinct. I guess i'll have to wait until 2014 for D4.
* I would like to pick up Zoo Tycoon, but i'm not sure how many credits i'll have before then (there could be sales on Xbox 360 games i'm interested in). Ok, I will buy Zoo Tycoon sometime before Xmas (if it is out).
Games to consider in 2014 (hopefully):
* Quantum Break (not sure it releases in 2014)
* Kinect Sports Rivals
* Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (Downloadable)
I would still like to pick up a couple of games on the 360 (South Park - 12/10 and Fable Legends - Q1 2014?). Hopefully the Xbox One will have some decent Free to Play games. I can't afford the amount of titles I bought for the 360 (unless....)
