It seems as though the Powerball jackpot cruelly decided to go over $400 million again. I hate it when it does that (and I don't win). You know what one of the worst parts of dreaming is? ... You eventually have to wake up.
So what would I do if I had $100 million dollars after taxes (and a sizable living stipend for the next 30-40 years)? i guess i would be semi-rich. I obviously never think about this kind of thing. Well, some of the things I have been kicking around in my head. Unfortunately, this probably wouldn't be easy to do/co-ordinate. Some of these may be mutually exclusive of others, some are probably not
* I would love to go around acquiring retro video game IP, code, trademarks, etc. Set up my own semi-publisher [maximum budget $25 million]
* Launch Game Room version 2 for the Xbox One [maximum budget $17 million]
- Console Emulation/Port Pricing:
-Gen 2,3 (Atari 2600 - NES era): $2
-Gen 4 (Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, TurboGrafx 16): $4
-Gen 5 (Sega Saturn, PlayStation, etc): $7-10
-Gen 6 (Sega Dreamcast, Xbox): $10-15
- Arcade Emulation/Ports: $4 for anything pre-1995
* Port Retro RPGs (pre Xbox 360) to the Xbox One [maximum budget $13 million]:
- Star Ocean Series, Tales Series, Lunar Series, Evolution Series, Grandia Series, Phantasy Star
Series and some of the Working Designs PS/Sega CD era games / Maybe an RPG version of
Game Room
* Fund some Tri-Ace games for Xbox One: [maximum budget: $50 million]
- Infinite Undiscovery 2, Resonance of Fate 2, Star Ocean 5 (maybe they could do some ports)
* Help fund: Too Human 2, 3 on the Xbox One. [Maximum Budget $35 million]
- Something like $15-20 million maximum for each part. Also Too Human RPG on Windows 8/RT.
* Port following Xbox games to Xbox One/acquire IPs for sequels: [max budget $13 million]
- Sudeki, Voodoo Vince (I think a Kinect sequel could be awesome), Azurik, Blinx 1&2, Nightcaster 1&2, Crimson Skies, Brute Force and Bloodwake
* Try to get: [maximum budget for all: $50 million]
- Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey Sequels for Xbox One
- Lunar prequel for Xbox One
- Sequel to Last Remnant on Xbox One (hopefully not nearly as buggy as the 360 version)
