Game Finished (for now): Ascend: Hand of Kul (revisited)

Well, it took me three days, but I finally finished Ascend: Hand of Kul (Ascend: New Gods was a better title).  Well, since it is a free-to-play that will be adding things as time goes on... I finished the first part serving the Dark god.

It pretty much stayed in line with my "impressions post".  This would probably have been an ok $10-15 dollar game (definitely not a $60 game in its current state) without the questionable online stuff.

Ascend: Hand of Kul is a fairly forgiving game, you can die a lot and spawn (if you killed a monster in many instances it stayed dead when you re-spawned).  That said, I still hate ogres (in this game).
What is the biggest problem this game has... frequent disconnects and crashing.  In the two days I felt like keeping track. There were:
* 14+ disconnects (usually at an inopportune time that makes me retrace portions of a level)
* 5+ freezes that locked up my Xbox 360.  There were a couple on the first day that locked up in game (I could still press the guide button, but no other button worked).

The only thing left to do is to do is get the rest of the achievements (24/30 or 325/400). The secret achievements are for "beating" the game and reading all of the books.  The ones i'm missing are:
* Caos Chaplain (bless 20 players)
* Cast Out (Banish 25 enemies to another player)
* Carving a Path (Obtain a spell from each alignment.  Is there some way to buy spells?)
* Transcend (not sure, might be hit level 60 and then ascend - that's gonna take a while)
* Outfitted for War (a weapon with 200 damage)
* A Fist Full of Runes (Put runes on 3 items)

Edit: I got my 400/400 finally (and it only took my 6 days, maybe 40-60 hours).  I wish the stupid enemies in this game wouldn't block so much.

To tell you the truth, I don't know if i'll come back when they add new levels, etc.  It is a fairly mediocre game with issues.  Apparently, this is still in beta though - I thought it was a real release.
