So, no posts for a while, what have I been doing....
Second account stuff (formerly primary account). I am playing through some game so that if I get the inclination to trade them in, I can (playing through to get 1,000/1,000 or whatever that is with DLC). I completed Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean.
Well, I have recently been playing Skyrim. Why is it that with Bethesda titles whenever you see a loading screen (of which there are far, far too many) you cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm not sure if it is the added DLC or what, but I remember Skyrim being more stable (not crashing so much). This game could be a real time sink. But like many open world games, there is a lot to potentially do, but why would you?
So now for the fun stuff... What would I like to do if I win the Powerball jackpot (which is at $360 million - $160 million after taxes)? This is if I would be the only if I could clear $80 million after taxes (1 other winner, not likely)
* Xbox Infinity (the $360 million is a sign right, at least a coincidence) and a bunch of games. Maybe even Xbox Live Gold/Platinum. I am somewhat more interested in the next Xbox as a media thing than a gaming console (but the price is probably going to be kind of high).
* Make an offer for Silicon Knights and their IP. Maybe pay them to release Too Human on the Surface RT/Windows 8 as a turn based RPG (also the second and third planned games separately). Make them controller enabled (maybe a back door to Xbox Infinity).
* Game Room 2.0: it would be fun to do a Game Room sequel on the Xbox Infinity/Windows 8/RT. This time though with more support. Potentially 1,000 games over 3 years was not ambitious enough.
* Game Room RPG: it would also be kind of cool if there was a way to release (like Game Room) some of the classic RPGs (and some not so classic) on a modern console (especially a Microsoft one). When I think of classic, it mostly runs from the Genesis/Sega CD through the PS1. I never had the chance to play most of the Tales series of games (only played Vesperia) or the Star Ocean games (outside 4). The Lunar games would be awesome (and are awesome). I am not necessarily talking about up-rezing games, but like Game Room, emulating them and keeping their (somewhat) pixelated charm.
* Buy Retro IP: I guess one of the reasons Game Room had issues was the licensing. It would be awesome (if I had lots and lots of money) to purchase a ton of IPs that current publishers are holding but not actively using. Let's say retro is all the way up to the original Xbox (PS2 generation), though I would be more interested in the 1977-1995 stuff (console and Arcade).
