Best Xbox One Games

Well, my list of some of the games i thought were the worst is now up.  How about the current games i think are the best (well, based off of what i "own" and played)?  Note: my opinions do not reflect the views of anyone else, maybe even humanity in general.



Best Free to Play - Puzzle
* Gems of War - this game is essentially a free to play version of a Puzzle Quest game.  Yes, it is a grind (especially to level 100) and i'm not sure i could ever get the last two achievements.

Best Free To Play - RPG
* Onigiri - for my tastes, this is the best RPG (kind of an action JRPG).  No, it is not great and i wouldn't buy it for $30.   i have put a ton of time into Neverwinter (probably why it doesn't rate highly for me).  i don't have enough time with DC Universe yet

Best Free To Play - Action
* Warframe - the controls are a bit clunky, but there is a bunch of content (and unfortunately limited inventory space / warframe slots).  Unfortunately, some of it is a bit hard single player

Best Free To Play - Strategy
* Battle Ages - there are barely any to chose from here, but Battle Ages seems slightly more interesting.  However, it is gonna take a ton of time.  Later stage upgrades are costly and slow.  This game and Battle Islands annoy me with PVP attacks that take away some of my "banked" resources - sometimes more than i make in a day.

Best Kinect Game (dedicated) 
* Kinect Sports Rivals - default, default.  This is the only Kinect game i think i have actually played on the Xbox One (there are several i have but haven't played)

Best Games with Gold (that i didn't already own)
* Crimson Dragon - this is a bit of a grind.  The controls can seem a bit weird and you might pull your hair out if you tried to get all of the diamond things.  However, this is the only current Games With Gold game that i would actually consider buying if it were on sale for >50% off.

Best Launch Game
* Ryse - i wish this one would have gotten a sequel.  This is basically kind of an advanced hack and slash game.  Some of the sections were annoying (like a certain arena section) but overall i liked the game.

Best Action Game
* Rise of the Tomb Raider - well at least this one had less "falling" sections than the first game.  Rise of the Tomb Raider is a decent yet unspectacular game.

Best Racing Game
* Forza Horizon 2 Presents the Fast and the Furious -why this one?  Well it would have been Forza Horizon 2 if they didn't stick to the awful "road trip" time waster.  Among the main series Forza, probably Forza 6 (though i barely played it).

Best RPG
* Not out/announced yet (i hope) - the two main ones i played were Dragon Age Inquisition and The Witcher 3.  i don't really remember DAI and i haven't been able to get into the Witcher (which always seems to have a little funky combat).

Best Shooter:
* Halo Master Chief Collection - i'm not sure on quality (since i'm awful at shooters), but Halo MCC content definitely wins on quantity.  Sunset Overdrive is too fast for me and i haven't played much Gears of War Ultimate.

Best Game i Own But Haven't Played
* Quantum Break - hopefully, but i don't know any better
