Daily challenges are one of the primary sources of in-game currency in Project Spark (the other is creating games, which i suck at).
Keep in mind that it takes a while to get enough credits in daily challenges to purchase content packs.
Here are some tips and information for grinding out the challenges:
* Daily Challenges go live at 1 AM Pacific Time
* Typical Challenge Values are: 75/45 (credits/xp) for daily and 500/300 for weekly, there is a new 50/0 for Treasure Trove (and 100/500 if you can clear the board)
* DLC used most seem to be Champions (Avalon, Haakon, Seph) and Void Storm Emergence,
* Champion's Quest: you only need 1-1 (though it is quicker if you get the whole Episode 1)
* Grind Levels: look for these in Community Games, especially those with select-able characters (i have one of these on the XB1). Why, these levels reduce the time it takes to get the 5 Champions daily challenges
* Crossroads: If you have an enemy type challenge (kill X bandits), you can do this through Community Games (putting a little dent in the 10 minute daily). However, if you want the challenges for Bosses, Coins, and Quests you are going to need to play Crossroads directly.
* Spark Premium: Doubles Credits, XP, and Champion XP - if you can get it free, it is worth it
* Void Storm Quests: i like 1-2 for 50 Kodite and 10 chest challenges (some like 1-5). The best place for 25 kills and 25 interactive kills seems to be 1-1 (though the intro takes forever).
Challenge Types:
i got to this in an asynchronous manner, but here it goes.... here are some challenge types you can expect to see in the daily challenge list (the back button, if you're on the XB1)
Halftime Show:. This is the challenge that requires you to complete 6 daily challenges - it gives 500 Credits. There is a weekly one too (recently added, sort of) that gives 500/300 for completing this 4 times in a week.
Login: this comes in Daily and weekly varieties (weekly requires 6 logins - the week runs Friday - Thursday)
Creation
Sculpt/Paint: one of these will always appear - you do the required action for 1 minute
Character/Props: this will sometime appear. Basically you add characters or props (at the specified amount).
Add Enemy: add the specified enemy type and quantity (you only start out with goblins and bandits)
Brain Puzzle: there is always one of these (some are more difficult that others). Need help?

Visual/Audio Effects: you basically add the specified amount of the type (usually 25 or 50) to your level. When in the prop tab (and when you see the bar on the bottom with different props) hit up on the D-pad and look for the icons on the top.
Add 50 Brain tiles: just go into a character brain (or several) and add 50 tiles. When in prop edit mode, put the cursor over the character, prop, etc and hit the LB (left bumper) then hit Y to open the brain editor
Add 10 Attachments/Change 10 Clothes: instead of hitting Y (in the previous post), hit B (the Character Studio option) and select the applicable setting
Create Random World: this is in the Create Menu (called create, i think) not start from scratch
Weekly Creation: there are two challenges for downloads and up votes (i think it is something like 250 of each - i'll never get it, so i ignore them). They pay out the typical weekly amount.
Play:
10 Minutes of Community Games: This one is always there. Just go into the Play Menu, The Community Games and select a game to play (rinse and repeat as necessary)
Champion Daily: there will always be one for each Champion (or 5 in total, hopefully they all work). You only start out having Karlsnor and Scarlett - the rest have to be acquired. Maybe more on this later
Defeat Boss: Play Crossroads and beat the specified boss. Keep in mind, not all bosses are available until they have been purchased (through in game content packs). i think you start with 5 bosses: Fire Warrior (or Knight), Goblin King, Goblin Egg Guardian, Fallen Ranger and Crate of Rabid Squirrels
Complete Quest: play Crossroads and defeat the specified quest. The quests you start with are: Mystic Grove, Puzzle Stones, Critter Ranch, and Observatory. Any other quest needs to be purchased in a content pack (maybe more on that later). There will be 0-2 of these per day
