I kind of pre-ordered the Xbox One the day after E3. I just paid it off in late July (along with Ryse). It helped that I had $420 trade-in credit from GameStop. When the Xbox 360 was up for pre-order, I traded in all my Xbox games (and my console) - this time I did not (just most of my games and none of my consoles). Hopefully, unlike the Xbox 360, I will actually be able to get this at launch.
So, why did I say that "I would walk 500 miles for a console"? Well, when I was deciding whether or not to buy a console, I decided that it needed to be less than $300 out of pocket expense. One of my alleged sisters offered to give me a few bucks for every "peak" I would "climb" on a thing at americaonthemove.org (Flat 14ers). It was basically a thing where you entered daily steps taken with a pedometer and it would compare that to the estimated steps it would take to actually climb the "peaks" (or something like that, but it probably isn't exactly accurate).
Well, much to my surprise, I finished the trail. It took me a little over 2 months and was actually 531 miles (that is a lot of walking).
Now i just have to figure out how i am going to get the console. Is it safe to walk with a console 1.6 miles back from Gamestop?
