You Killed the Controller

What did I do.... ?  Ok, so actually I killed the controller.  Enough pseudo Ferris Bueller references?

I've had my Xbox 360 wired controller since launch.  Let's just say it has seen better days.

Lately, I've been finding some Xbox 360 games very frustrating.  I don't have nearly the patience/ frustration threshold I used to have.  After playing Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts (that game kind of sucks, especially the parts involving the horrible vehicles) I may have slammed the controller on the ground - aggravating its questionable condition.

So, here is an Xbox 360 wired control after dark....
Bumpers and face buttons, odd how they go in and just sit on top of rubber
The buttons get kind of gross after almost 8 years
Top of the controller with D-pad on left, bottom of controller on right

Bottom of an Xbox 360 wired controller, lower left side screw area (by rumble motor) kind of broke off.  The A button area was kind of bent too

I put the controller back together and it works.  The rumble motor on the broken side tends to slip a little so I guess i'll turn rumble off.  The A button works a little better than it used to since I straightened out the bend in the rubber contact.
